	"Pkgsrc? What's pkgsrc?" I hope you're not proposing the "go
hunting through the filesystem" documentation scheme. 

	The problem that Charles points out is quite real; even when
we do have documentation for bits of our system, our top-level
documentation that introduces these other things is bad or
nonexistent. INSTALL, for example, introduces man pages and the intro
page, but nothing else.
