just an FYI:

An actual guide is in the works. It is a huge project. Actually, I had
not even started looking at UBC because I was under the (mistaken)
assumption I might have it cranked out before 1.6 ... well, not happening.

So, with Perry's documentation and some testing perhaps we can have 
the issue brought within a Guide context as well.
