Well.. I think the discussions came down to points about how netbsd
supported actually changing the mac address of a card in its firmware
sometimes, so "faking it" on cards that didn't support such activities
didn't seem clean.  I personally like the idea of using a virtual
interface when I'm doing this sort of thing.
