Well, I've probably taken the wrong way to debug but:

>ping6 -s 1300 my-ipv6-address

gives me icmp packets fragmented to payload 1232 and additional =
fragments
of 76 bytes...

I've tried this with a crossed Ethernet cable to avoid any interaction
with other equipments and the result is still the same...

I can observe this behavior on machines running netbsd from 1.6.1_STABLE
to 2.99.10 ...

Any hints?
