Now it's here:
src/sys/dev/ic/rtl81x9.c
($NetBSD: rtl81x9.c,v 1.46 2004/05/28 15:21:32 toshii Exp $)
The newer rtl cards support even tcp offloading engine stuff (oh dear).
The thing which suprises me is that not many like realtek stuff
(understandable), but little ppl seem to have problems with broadcom cards
with which i mostly have trouble. Gig performance with their gig cards is
an illusion. Media speeds means trouble as well: put such a card hard on
100mb/full duplex and the switch (cisco for example) port as well on these
settings and speed will be very low, put both ends in auto mode and the
speed increases drastically. The other way around used to be true for some
3com cards.
Bye,
Mipam.
