Amazing, isn't it?

I can't be sure, because I don't have one myself to play with.  But
that's certainly what it looks like to me.  (Oh, and you can strike "in
netbsd-1.6" from that, unless the restriction to ETHER_MAX_LEN is
somehow tied up with the host software, which I think...unlikely.)

Sure, you can use vlans - provided everybody uses an MTU of 1496.  But
that's not what most people take "vlans are supported" to mean.
