Well, I didn't write that, but SLIP worked for me last time I tried.

Advice and instructions?  As far as I can tell, it's just "run
slattach, then ifconfig the sl interface".  If that's not working for
you, drop me a line off-list and I'll see if I can do anything to help
debug the problem....
