I am configuring a 3COM Etherlink III model 3C509B. The card is on an ISA
bus in a i486 running NetBSD 1.6.1 GENERIC_tiny kernel. My DMESG output
concerning the card reads:

> 3COM 3C509B Ethernet card in PnP mode

When i run the 'ifconfig -a' command, i get the following output:

>lo0: flags=8009<UP,LOOPBACK,MULTICAST> mtu 33220
> inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
>ppp0: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
>ppp1: flags=8010<POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST> mtu 1500

I have poured over the mailing list archives, Google searches, and the
documentation.
I am finding much on this particular card, but for a different problem. I
can seem
to get the card to respond beyond being recognized at boot up. My /dev
directory
has no ep*, ne*, or lo* device files.

Am i missing something?

Thanks in Advance,
