and macppc isn't one of them:

I don't know whether it's just a simple oversight that it's not
supported, or if there's a lot of coding needed to make it work. You might try adding:

device-major	altq	char 77	altq

to your src/sys/arch/macppc/conf/majors.macppc, re-config, and
recompile your kernel, and see if that does anything useful.
