This would be good to have. However, at least back when I looked at
it, it appeared to mean changing every Ethernet driver in the system,
which was more than I was prepared to do at the time.
I suppose you could do it via an internal ioctl or some other mechanism
which un-updated drivers can refuse, and then just ahve it not work if
the driver in question doesn't like it.
