Hi David,
I talked to a programmer from IO-Xperts who was able to fill me in
on where the Cisco hardware/firmware stopped doing HostAP-related work and
host software had to pick up the slack.
Way-back-when, I remember some traffic on the netbsd tech-net or
tech-kern mailing lists about a HostAP daemon versus a kernel-space
driver.
I think you may have originiated that thread.
Is there a chance you can fill me in on the upshot of that
discussion? I can't find the archived emails particularly easily, but I'd
really like to hear the arguments on either side of the discussion so I
can continue to flesh out the Cisco driver in the most intelligent manner.
Best regards,
Mike Przybylski
