Different bridging machine (new architecture, new router
(Cisco 677 SOHO), new ISP, new country ...) is working
well now, with no ssh2-detected corruption across the
bridge, which doesn't totally surprise me.

A dmesg is below, for the curious.

I have also scored a small Cisco 1400 router that I'll try
in place of the Efficient Networks box back home, which
will hopefully help isolate the router as a source of corruption.

     Sean.
