A long time ago I also discussed a problem where the . and .. entries of
a directory would seem to be the same inode, and other obvious wrong
inodes were present. (I cannot find it in my archives though) This was
with a commercial NFS server running on WNT called DiskShare from
Intergraph. Looking at recent discussions, it might well have been a
filehandle re-using problem, since the server was known to be buggy
anyway: if you did "mv foo Foo", your file foo would disappear...
But I am currently in no position to verify this theory.
