ugh i HATE bridging, so take this with grain-of-salt
zen-like questions about possible pitfalls -
are you planning on doing mixed-media bridging (i.e., ethernet to ppp or
slip or fddi or 802.11 or whatever)? are you planning on doing
mixed-MTU bridging from differenlt ethernet ifs with different MTUs?
what happens with vlans? do we play with spanning-trees? bla bla bla
a really STUPID bridge between two subnets of EXACTLY the same type
isn't so bad - for everything else, well, more than one internet protocol
(IP, v.sux, CLNS, appletalk, ...) is in NetBSD for tying together
different networks/subnets.
