I'm looking at Solaris 8 right now, and would like to note how they do
IPv6 in NIS (from the organisational POV): They have a file
/etc/inet/ipnodes, which is equivalent to /etc/hosts, but can contain v4
AND v6 addresses. From that, they generate ipnodes.byname and
ipnodes.byaddr maps.
