It's unlikely you'll have CDPD in your area and it's probably GSM anyway
if you do have it...

The card presents a standard serial interface to which I just run pppd.

I also note that you specifically said "Lan" and this is clearly meant to
be used 'on the road'...

So I guess in summary, my post is wholly inappropriate...
