Hi,

I'm having some problems getting an ne2000 based Linsys ether16 10bT NIC
working under NetBSD.

Under windows98 (sorry ;) on the same box, I can talk (via a small
switched hub) to another netbsd box, so I'm pretty sure the hardware is
ok.

Both are running 1.4 release. The linksys card did talk to the other box
(containing one of the older 'non-clone' de21140 netgear cards running at
10bt HDX) for a little while, but since I powered the boxes off, and back
on, it hasn't worked.

I suspect windows is doing some sort of initialisation on the card, but
I'm really not sure where to look at this point.

The only syslog message I get is 'ne1: device timeout' repeated
frequently.

ifconfig reports the linksys card's media type as 'manual'

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Al

It is a sad and terrible thing that high-born folk really have thought that
the servants would be totally fooled if spirits were put into decanters that
