Speaking of annoyances....


_I_ found it very annoying, when developing the ARCnet driver, that I
needed 3 days to find out how the (!*&@(!*&@ BSD4.4 works... each time
I grepped for "arp" to find the functions and deduce the interface
requirements, it would point me at some *ether*.[hc] file, which
simply couldn't be right.

After finding out what happens, I implemented the old ARCnet without
ARP stuff, and left it that way for two years (hm... maybe even more).

No followup on this required... read my other post to see my proposal.
Just wanted to mention it for the record.
