True.. But what good will that do my mac IIsi at home? Apple supports
LocalTalk on that hardware, why can't we? :-)

But your suggestion is relevant in that I want to come up with a
support model which will support such a beast, support the mac's
built-in abilities, and also support the (ISA) cards out there which 
have on-board CPU's to off-load most of the work.
