No need to reply on that problem, I got it sorted with a bit of
modem command set munching.

I must recommend the FreeBSD handbook and FAQ for NetBSD users actually.
This is probably obvious to everyone, but perhaps it would be nice
to have some links from the http://www.netbsd.org pages directly to the
OpenBSD and FreeBSD docs?
