Not necessary ... it Just Works with the ifconfig "alias" command.
If your /etc/netstart is new enough to support the "/etc/ifaliases" file
(just check the bottom of your /etc/netstart), you can add the aliases to
/etc/ifaliases in the following format:
name.of.alias.org ed0
...etc.
