Has anybody done any work looking at getting a 3c597 (eisa
100/10) working under NetBSD (i386)?

The ep driver's eisa probe recognizes the board as a 3com,
but the "trusted" flag prevents it from being used. If you
change the behaviour of the "trusted" flag to try using it
anyways, it does complete the probe and get the mac
address. Unfortunately, when you try to ifconfig it, the
system becomes quite unhappy, so it would seem things have
changed from the 379.

Is anyone up on how good 3com is about providing the
necessary documentation to write a driver for their cards?
I haven't tried sitting in a tech support queue yet, and
I'd rather avoid that if someone who's done driver work on
a 3com before has a contact already.

Thanks,

Dave
