Hello, everyone.

I find an interesting thing about the serial login.
I want to login to NetBSD by serial line.
Therefore I modified the /etc/ttys as follows, and 'kill -HUP 1=
 '.

tty00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" vt100 on secure
tty01 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" vt100 on secure
tty02 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" vt100 on secure

I set the HyperTerm of Windows to 9600 8N1, and try to connect to=
 the NetBSD box.

But no signal appears in the HyperTerm for a long time.

Now I run minicom in the NetBSD. The login prompt appears in the=
 HyperTerm.

Would anyone like to give an explanation ?
I really don't want to run minicom every time I try to login with=
 serial line.

Best regards

sincerely yours
suxm
