Hi tech-kern,
I filed kern/60933 regarding this regression the other day.  SCSI drives larger than >2TB may not come online in part because sd_read_capacity sends a bad command to the drive(s) because the fallback retry of READ CAPCAITY 16 was removed AND the controller reports an older SCSI version.  Just wanted to let you know, since there may be a lot of folk running with mpt(4) (read: VMware.)
