Mmh, perhaps try to "export PTHREAD_DIAGASSERT=A" first, maybe this just 
helps. I often experience the pthread of NetBSD is kinda "strict" 
regarding thread (mis-)usage in client software (freeing locked mutex from 
distant thread e.g.).
