Seems like my Synaptics touchpad only works if I disable the
inputstate switch-clause around line 678 of
sys/dev/pckbport/synaptics.c.

Peraphs this check is wrong for touchpads like mine ?

My touchpad has a hardware controlled on/off switch on the keyboard
that, I guess, only disables the motion sense. This key, on the
keyboard :-), also produces a key event (useful maybe for the Windows
OSD driver which comes bundled with the laptop).

Any hints ? I'm not very familiar with the Synaptics spec. I just read
it briefly.
