Not yet.

Linux is subject to 287 software patents as far as we know, and they didn't
deal with it yet, I guess they're waiting for the results of the discussion
on the EU patent directive.

However, some stuff, as we know, is in a non-US category currently. MPlayer
for example. But in the kernel this would be a bit difficult. We might
only introduce a config flag that's disabled by default, or something.

But then again I guess it's far from bein the only patent infringement in
the NetBSD kernel, I see a lot of "!=" operators for example...
