sys/arch/hp300/DOC/HPMMU.notes might help.
9000/320 and 9000/350 has HPMMU (and virtual indexed L2 cache),
but I guess Chuck's machine is 9000/385, which has 68040.

On news68k port, only m68030 models are supported.
(though there are some 040 stuff in pmap_bootstrap.c)
