Yes, I want to access the Hw monitoring, but the chip that do the work is a
GL518, not the via itself; morover, I don't believe the 586B (MVP3) has any
internal Hw monitoring capabiliy.

Yes, I'm in touch with a FreeBSD guy, that last weekend together the xmbmon
developer add support for the GL518 chip; unfortunately this support is fully
via SMBus.
