Really!

There's definitely been some problems with wscons on some systems. I've
had no luck getting larger screen sizes to work (or rather in getting
smaller fonts) loaded on a couple of machines now. I've not tried the
latest cut of 1.5 yet, but I can assure you that the problems are not in
the startup scripts -- I don't have a separate /usr filesystem, and I've
monkeyed about manually trying to configure the screens to no avail.
One possibly related thing I've noticed is that you can't even
reconfigure virtual consoles reliably -- a full reboot is often
necessary.
I still haven't figured out how to coerce the system into giving me a
larger screen on the main console either. It partly works, but seems to
get rather confused after switching back and forth between other virtual
consoles.
I've finally got a real test machine and as soon as I can get it
upgraded (which is as soon as I can do another re-build of -current and
get the full release sets built) I'll try some more experiments (though
it'll soon go in the rack too and not see a monitor connected to it
except for during dire emergencies).
