`read the list archives' isnt very practical on its own.

 Could you maybe give

  a)  some keyword and approximate dates, or
  b) a breif description of which parts of the suggested archtecture are
     busted, or
  c) a description of how to solve the problem in a non-busted way?

(or preferably all three.)
