You're right, and so's greg.  I agree with your statement that the
replacement statement is completely bogus, even pointing out your own
errors on the syscall vs. libfunc comparison :-)

It probably doesn't matter if we blur the line, but I feel a bit warmer
and fuzzier distinguishing between the two.
