All the issues surrounding partitioning and geometry on a PC make it
a hairy mess, I'm sure everyone agrees there. I appreciate all the
suggestions that have been made, and the work people have done so far.

I also think that everything has been said by now, and it's just a matter
of coordinating things and just doing it. I plan to take it on myself,
so if you want to help out, please get in touch with me. Let's just make
it work. Though I realize "work" is a relative term in the PC world
here ;-)
