CVS commit: src/sys/external/bsd/drm2/include/linux
Module Name: src
Committed By: riastradh
Date: Fri Oct 16 14:50:25 UTC 2026
Modified Files:
src/sys/external/bsd/drm2/include/linux: mm.h
Log Message:
drm: Nix `highmem' memory accounting.
This led to confusing dmesg output when the kernel map size was
enlarged between 9 and 10, probably by this commit:

For a long time I thought this was a harmless if confusing printf,
but on closer look I see now that it affects decisions that ttm makes
about discarding pages under memory pressure. Need to take a closer
look to make sure those criteria make sense and accord with the page
daemon's targets -- perhaps we need to subtract a different emergency
reserve from mem in ttm_mem_init_kernel_zons. But at least avoiding
wraparound from an integer overflow in subtraction probably better!
