Fine. Nevertheless this change made the situation worse for a lot of
drivers. The USB code is broken in the way it implements polling, but it
is the only example of such an issue so far. Disabling interrupts has
all kinds of interesting problems for a MP kernel, if it works at all as
people intend it. The change was not discussed, it was objected, so it
should be reverted.
