A lot of?

- existing API was changed without major bump
- old majors were marked obsolete (and removed on postinstall)

Isn't that all?

If major/minor are bumped properly as I wrote,
older minor libs can be removed safely
but older majors should be preserved if
there are any possible existing binaries
linked against older ones.

I think src/doc contains docs for users, not developers.
src/lib/README, comments in distrib/sets/lists/base/shl.mi,
or under htdocs/developers/?
