There are some reasons.

  * The PCMCIA Adapter Box is an optional(removable) hardware
    for OpenBlockS266.  (14,091 Japanese yen)
  * OpenBlockS266 is a embedded-powerpc board with 64MB (small) memory.
  * We want to save kernel size as samll as possible,
  * We decide to prepare two type kernels:
     - pure OpenBlockS266 kernel (w/o optional hardwares)
     - OpenBlockS266 kernel with optional hardwares

Thanks.
