      Maybe adding "SPECIAL gzip srcdir gnu/usr.bin/gzip" is
      the right fix (for now), but anyway some ports already
      use distrib/utils/x_gzip for installation binaries.
   
   given what's below, this seems the right course for now.


actually, src/usr.bin/gzip now supports -l/--list.  "lets wait for
bug reports"? :-)
