I hit this little problem (trying to build some standalone bits in an
unpopulated obj/dest tree).

My thought was that bsd.prog.mk isn't quite the Makefile you want.
Or rather you don't want its 'PROG' target.
Adding 4 defines to every Makefile that does this (loads of boot stuff)
doesn't seem quite the correct fix.....
