Christos is NOT the maintainer of the Alpha port, and thus should not
have approved this patch.

As the listed maintainer of the Alpha port, I disapprove of this patch,
and would like for it to be backed out immediately.

I have specifically not introduced ptrace-based single-step support for
the Alpha INTENTIONALLY. There is no need for it; it is already
properly handled by GDB.
