This installing a link should be dealt with by sysinst (the old
shell-based installation procedure did at least provide _some_
functionality to do this, unlike sysinst), or not be dealt with at
all, effectively meaning GMT.

The referred manual page is not a source of information relevant to
this configuration issue.
