   seems like a catch 22, although imho, postfix should bend to meet the
   new regime.  sendmail is working towards uncluttering /etc by
   gathering its files together into one place, and we should all respect
   that.  who likes an /etc directory with three screenfuls of files in
   it?


sendmail is working towards sysadmin frustration at having their
hardwired places for files changs, it seems like it to me...


i'd probably care more about this if i (a) used sendmail or (b)
didn't already have postfix setup to use /etc/aliases anyway...
