Uh wasn't this implied by the sentance you left out of the quote:

``We need to keep our eye out for now failing cards now and suspect this
problem.''

You make it sound like I might have been objecting to your change which
I absolutely was not.

Anway, yes, using 16 bit cards with cardbus not in legacy mode will also
ferret out these problems, and would have in the past.  I'm not counting
on the cardbus having done so already becuase until recently I think a
lot of people weren't using it.
