   deprecate -h hostname in favour of automatic determination of local hostname.
   this is a much cleaner solution for supporting multihomed virtual servers.

while i see the usefulness of this change, i really would prefer
that the -h option was left in -additionally- incase one wants to
override it anyway, for whatever reason.


but the current state of the art is a nice move ;-)
