I think putting an 'ONLY_FOR_PLATFORM' will DTRT.
But I don't consider this one being Solaris-only: -release's awk version
is "Gnu Awk (gawk) 2.15, patchlevel 6", the pkg is "GNU Awk 3.0.4".
A more fine-grained test, based on the OS version could be appropriate.
