Just a word of warning.  This supposedly doesn't work on some early
versions of the 742.  Julian E. had one of these cards.  It may be a 
firmware revision issue, but it hasn't really been investigated.  In
spite of this, I still use the EISA mechanism in the FreeBSD version
of the driver, and agree that it is the correct method.
