* support ``short'' names of disks (e.g, ``sd0'') instead of requiring
  the full name (e.g, ``/dev/rsd0d'') a la disklabel(8) (where the code
  was effectively lifted from ;-)
* prefix hexadecimal numbers in output with '0x'
