[src/trunk]: src/sys/rump/librump/rumpvfs Cache directory entry name length. ...
details: https://anonhg.NetBSD.org/src/rev/b27d2ca65cfa
branches: trunk
changeset: 754752:b27d2ca65cfa
user: pooka <pooka%NetBSD.org@localhost>
date: Tue May 11 16:59:42 2010 +0000
description:
Cache directory entry name length. This brings kernel bootstrap
time down: 14ms -> 12ms. Further hashing etc. did not seem to have
any noticable effect.
(without /dev node creation bootstrap time is 8ms, so it's still
the bottleneck)
