Ok, just so we make sure not to drop this... :-)

I can give you a ride FROM Santa Clara TO San Francisco, but I CANNOT  
give you a ride back.

However, if Erik Berls is planning on coming, then perhaps he could  
give you a ride back to Santa Clara (Santa Clara is sort of on his way  
home).
