Station Cycles (at the station funnily enough) do cycle hire: http://www.stationcycles.co.uk/Not quite like London though. Cambridge's attempt pre-dated London's by arouund 20 years and was on a trust basis. You could just take and return a green bike from certain bike racks round the city. Unsurprisingly, every single one disappeared within a week or so. :-/
